Early Childhood Educator

Mariners Church is seeking a dedicated and passionate Infant/Toddler Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Christ-centered educator, you will provide a high-quality early childhood education while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with our youngest learners.
Job Summary:The Infant/Toddler Preschool Teacher will create a warm and accepting environment for infants and toddlers, providing a developmentally appropriate program that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. You will work closely with parents to ensure a smooth transition between home and school, and participate in ongoing assessment and evaluation of children's progress.
Responsibilities:- Provide a Christ-centered environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in infants and toddlers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of children's progress and development.
- Develop and implement an engaging and age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with the church's educational goals.
- Communicate effectively with parents through regular updates, conferences, and other forms of communication.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching practices and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Passion for early childhood education and a heart for sharing the Good News of Jesus with young children.
- Experience working with infants and toddlers in an educational or caregiving setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with parents and colleagues.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to continually improve teaching practices.
- Clear Live Scan and Criminal Background Check.
- Minimum of 12 units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development required, with at least three units focused on Infants/Toddlers.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Record of immunizations: current TB test clearance, MMR, DTaP, annual influenza.
