Position Highlights:
  • This is a full-time position with eligibility for benefits.
  • Standard working hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with flexibility required for evening and overnight shifts as necessary.
  • Participates in a weekend rotation every fourth week.
  • Engages in a rotating holiday schedule.
  • On-call duties for winter snow removal are expected.
Role Responsibilities:
  • General Cleaning:
    • Adhere to established protocols for cleaning and sanitizing various surfaces including walls, floors, ceilings, and fixtures.
    • Perform floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
  • Minor Equipment Maintenance:
    • Conduct repairs and replacements on minor equipment, including office furniture and fixtures.
    • Assist in assembling and relocating office equipment as required.
  • Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
    • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with local service providers.
    • Ensure all hospital vehicles are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  • Grounds Maintenance:
    • Provide seasonal maintenance and repairs for outdoor equipment.
    • Assist with painting and office relocations as needed.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Manage supply inventory and delivery.
    • Maintain departmental records, including logs and inspection reports.
  • Safety Protocols:
    • Ensure a safe working environment through proper equipment usage and site maintenance.
    • Keep tools and equipment in optimal working condition.
    • Recognize potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum age of 18 with relevant education or experience to fulfill job requirements.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in building maintenance, grounds upkeep, or mechanical work.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License required upon hire; candidates must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Heavy Work: Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and up to 50 lbs. frequently.
