Job Summary
The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position in Human Services. Adjunct positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.

As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students achieve their academic potential, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of your teaching field. You will also be expected to continue your professional development, utilize current technology, and adhere to professional conduct and ethics standards.

The instructional assignment may encompass teaching courses across all levels in Human Services. Specific courses offered may vary by campus. Courses for this assignment may include Introduction to Human Services, Ethical Issues and Client's Rights, and Issues of Diverse Populations. Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a master's degree in Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Guidance Counseling, Educational Counseling, Social Work, or Career Development, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. Alternatively, you may have a bachelor's degree in one of these fields and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist. All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by the time of hire. You must also have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of community college students, including those with physical or learning disabilities.
