Job Summary
The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position in Ethnic Studies. Adjunct positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.

As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students achieve their academic potential, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of your teaching field. You will also be expected to utilize current technology in the performance of job duties, maintain professional conduct and ethics, and participate in faculty governance and accreditation activities.

The instructional assignment may encompass teaching courses across all levels in Ethnic Studies, including Introduction to Ethnic Studies, Introduction to African American Studies, and Introduction to Native American Studies. Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a master's degree in the Ethnic Studies field or a related field, such as African American Studies, Black Studies, or Native American Studies. You must also have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of community college students, including those with physical or learning disabilities.
