Business Law Adjunct Faculty Position

Position Summary

The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary adjunct faculty position in Business Law. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years. Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years, after which they will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.


Responsibilities

The adjunct faculty member shall be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students master course content, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of their teaching field. They will also be expected to continue professional development, utilize current technology, and maintain professional conduct and ethics.


Typical Duties

The instructional assignment may encompass teaching courses across all levels in Business Law. Specific courses offered may vary by campus, and may include BUS 340 Business Law and BUS 345 Law and Society.


Minimum Qualifications
  1. Have a master's degree in Business, Business Management, Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, Marketing, or Business Education; OR, bachelor's degree in any of the above AND master's degree in Economics, Personnel Management, Public Administration, or JD or LL.B. degree; OR, bachelor's degree in Economics with a Business Emphasis AND master's degree in Personnel Management, Public Administration, or JD or LL.B. degree; OR the equivalent.
  2. Have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
