Job Summary
The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary adjunct faculty position in Physics and Astronomy. This is an ongoing recruitment, and applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.

As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students achieve their academic potential, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of your teaching field. You will also be expected to utilize current technology, adhere to professional standards, and participate in faculty governance and committee work.

The instructional assignment may encompass teaching courses across all levels in Physics and Astronomy, including conceptual physics, general physics, and laboratory courses. Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a master's degree in Physics, Astronomy, or Astrophysics, or a bachelor's degree in Physics or Astronomy with a master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Meteorology, or Geophysics. All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by the time of hire. Additionally, you must have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of community college students.
