Behavior Intervention Specialist

The Behavior Technician plays a vital role in facilitating educational and behavioral services for children and adults with special needs. This position requires collaboration with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement behavior management techniques, including prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies.
- Provide crisis intervention and review behavior intervention plans.
- Assist in facilitating academic instruction and support students in developing independent daily living skills.
- Collect and document behavioral and academic data accurately and efficiently.
- Strictly adhere to confidentiality requirements and support students across various environments.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred.
- Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
- Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
- Current CPR and TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
