Mental Health Therapist

Options Counseling and Family Services is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide individual, family, and group therapy to children, adults, and families, as well as case management and consultation with PCPs, schools, and other community partners.
Responsibilities- Conduct mental health assessments for children and adults, including DSM-V diagnosis
- Provide therapy and case management services in the office or through telehealth
- Develop and implement treatment plans, defining specific goals and objectives, and revise as needed
- Maintain accurate and current client records, including timely Service Plans, authorization requests, and service notes within the electronic client record (ECR)
- Coordinate access and provision of services from multiple agencies, including establishing service linkages, advocating for service needs, and obtaining entitlements based on mental or emotional disability
- Masters or doctorate degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
- Must be able to qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and be eligible for registration as an associate (Social Work Associate, Professional Counselor Associate, Marriage and Family Associate), a Psychology Resident or licensure in the State of Oregon
- Knowledge and/or experience providing mental health services, including assessment and diagnosis, to children, families, and/or adults
- Must be computer proficient
- Must have respectful, open, accepting attitude toward clients and their families
- Knowledge of the impact of trauma and experience working with individuals and families from a systemic lens
- Knowledge of best practice methods of treatment for serious and persistent mental illness and the impacts of co-occurring disorders
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practice and the role of feedback informed treatment
- Extended periods of time sitting or standing at workstation updating client records, phone work, and therapy sessions
- Mobility and dexterity sufficient to assist clients and handle required job related functions and move about the facility
- Ability to manage clients who may use offensive language or challenging behaviors
