The Vascular Care Group is a dynamic and growing medical practice seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team.

Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to provide clinical support in our vascular medical office. As a key member of our team, you will assist with procedures, maintain patient records, and ensure the smooth operation of our clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with Procedures
    • Assembling surgical packs, supplies, and instruments for cases
    • Preparing procedure rooms for cases
    • Maintaining a sterile field
    • Assisting with inventory for procedure rooms
    • Providing technical assistance to physicians and nurses
  • Daily Operations
    • Managing office telephone, including answering calls and providing 24-hour call backs to all patients as needed
    • Assisting with scheduling patient appointments and maintaining communication to confirm future appointments
    • Assisting with patient referrals and insurance authorization for procedures
    • Maintaining patient medical information, including medical history and health insurance
    • Maintaining orders and stocks supplies
    • Cleaning and sterilization of equipment
  • Patient Care
    • Preparing exam rooms and assisting physicians and other clinical staff as needed
    • Maintaining HIPAA guidelines
    • Maintaining compliance databases
Requirements
  • Surgical technician certification or within 6 months of graduation from accredited program
  • BLS certification
  • 1+ year experience in a medical setting, ideally surgical
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely
