Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced Intervention Specialist to join our award-winning team. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering instruction, implementing curriculum materials, and developing daily lesson plans that meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of learners.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans and classroom schedules that reflect state and school requirements.
  • Create a collaborative environment for students, parents, center staff, and administrative personnel.
  • Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment by modeling and reinforcing positive behaviors outlined in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) programs.
  • Implement established school-wide and classroom PBIS programs, reinforcement systems, behavioral expectations, and consequence guidelines.
  • Modify curriculum and assist with differentiated instruction for students and staff, including prescribed educational software and intervention curriculum.
  • Prepare daily lesson plans and materials for assigned classes.
  • Report incidents, maintain a neat and organized center, and ensure a professional environment conducive to education.


Requirements:

To be successful as an Intervention Specialist, you should have:



  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with curriculum development, differentiation, and instruction in elementary and/or middle school settings.
  • Prior experience working with students with autism.
  • The ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives.
