Position Overview:
The Production Assembler role is crucial for the assembly and installation of products tailored to customer specifications within commercial and fleet vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute sub-assembly or pre-assembly of steel components, including cabinets and partitions, along the assembly line.
- Install pre-assembled or purchased components as required.
- Assemble and install electrical components and alarms as necessary.
- Prepare items for shipping through pre-assembly processes.
- Conduct inspections of parts and assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness of completed vehicles.
Specific Duties:
- Construct and install interior and exterior components in vehicles.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics for electrical installations.
- Adhere to production standards for sub-assembly and line tasks.
- Complete necessary documentation as per company protocols.
- May operate a motor vehicle as part of job duties.
- Engage in recycling materials as required.
- Uphold a safe working environment while maintaining good housekeeping practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
- At least 3 months of relevant experience in a similar field.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or collaboratively.
- Proficiency in English to understand and execute written and verbal instructions.
- Capable of maintaining accurate records and completing required forms.
Physical Requirements:
Employees in this role will frequently:
- Engage in physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Stand or walk for extended periods.
- Utilize hand-held power tools effectively.
- Lift weights of 25 to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
Supervisory Role:
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
