Job Summary:

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services seeks a highly skilled Nurse III to serve as the Quality Management Coordinator for the HIV Clinical Quality Management program. This role requires a strong background in quality management, clinical systems, and public health policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality management plans for HIV care services, including the development of performance measures and program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with branches in the Section to access pertinent data and develop performance measures and program outcomes.
  • Conduct training, provide technical assistance, and evaluate the quality management plans of HIV grantees and subcontractors.
  • Review annually quality management plans from Ryan White Part B grantees.
  • Provide clinical consultation, training, and technical assistance to HIV grantees and subcontractors, medical and nursing providers, and other healthcare organizations/individuals that deliver services to people with HIV disease and their families.
  • Travel to provide and attend on-site trainings, attend local quality management meetings, develop collaborations with community providers, and conduct statewide monitoring visits.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of quality management processes, clinical systems, and public health policies.
  • Knowledge of current trends in public health and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Skills in using WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, or similar software programs, and personal computers to prepare documents and reports.
  • Skills in problem-solving, monitoring, and evaluating healthcare programs, and team facilitation.
