Role Overview:

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Staff Coordination: Oversee and manage staffing schedules, stepping in as necessary to ensure seamless service.
  • Menu Development: Create and innovate menus, recipes, and concepts tailored for retail, catering, and patient services.
  • Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, maintaining updated standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve any concerns raised by our patients and staff.
  • Resource Management: Maintain optimal levels of food, supplies, and equipment across designated areas.
  • Sanitation Oversight: Supervise cleaning and sanitation processes within your areas of responsibility.
  • Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to guide the team towards excellence in service delivery.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage departmental records, including expenses, reporting, and inventory control.
  • Performance Oversight: Lead and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture through ongoing feedback and development.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Preferred: Associate's Degree
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience in hospital food service
  • Required: Food Handler Certification while working in Illinois
  • Preferred: Food Handler Certification while working in Indiana

Travel Requirements:

Minimal travel is expected for this position.
