Genitourinary Disease Site Director, Radiation Oncology, Clinical Research and Academic Leadership Position

The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Genitourinary Disease Site Director, Radiation Oncology, Clinical Research and Academic Leadership. This is a unique opportunity for a talented professional to lead the development of clinical guidelines for the radiation-based treatment of patients with primary and oligometastatic Genitourinary malignancies.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the development of clinical guidelines for the radiation-based treatment of patients with primary and oligometastatic Genitourinary malignancies.
- Provide comprehensive academic and clinical mentorship to junior faculty on the service.
- Organize and lead weekly site-specific chart rounds for the service and ensure guideline concordant management.
- Work with departmental and institutional leadership to formulate strategies to identify and attract patients to MSKCC from both within and outside catchment.
- Work closely with leadership in Urology and Genitourinary Medical Oncology to develop high-impact clinical trials that address the unmet needs of and improve outcomes in patients with Genitourinary malignancies.
- Represent the service at multi-disciplinary management conferences.
- Work with the Chiefs of Brachytherapy and External Beam Radiotherapy to on-line cutting edge technologies and develop research related to these novel technologies.
- Explore the expansion of radiation treatment options for both bladder and renal cancer.
- Investigate disparities and barriers to appropriate care among patients with primary and metastatic Genitourinary disease.
This position will involve approximately 25-50% clinical effort and 50-75% research/administration, depending on the candidate's credentials and research effort.
Requirements:- MD or equivalent degree.
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology.
- Strong academic and clinical background in Radiation Oncology, with a focus on Genitourinary malignancies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
