Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Abrazo West Campus. As an RN Emergency FT Nights, you will provide direct patient care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and act as a supervisor to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit, prioritizing patient needs and delivering individualized care based on the nursing process.
- Coordinates care planning with other disciplines, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Acts as a supervisor, assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
- Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals and areas for improvement.
- Participates in hourly rounding, observing safety guidelines and safe work practices to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s), supervising other members of the healthcare team and ensuring continuity of care.
Requirements
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
- CPR certification.
- ACLS certification as applicable by Facility/by Department.
- Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Preferred experience in acute care, with certification in specialty area of practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Experience in CVICU or ICU, or minimum of 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown.
- Basic computer skills.
