Job Title: Certified Anesthesia Technician

We are seeking a skilled Certified Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Flexup Direct. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of anesthesia equipment and providing exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

The Certified Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for assisting anesthesiologists, residents, and other healthcare professionals in the preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment. This includes setting up and operating sophisticated equipment, performing advanced troubleshooting, and ensuring the cleanliness and availability of anesthesia equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia, including preparation of equipment, placement of monitors, and ensuring the cleanliness of equipment.
  • Operate the cell-saver machine, track lab reports, and participate in advanced surgical cases.
  • Provide primary support in ensuring that anesthesia equipment is in good working order and preventive maintenance is completed.
  • Set up and operate sophisticated equipment, perform advanced troubleshooting, and serve as the key resource person in using and maintaining specialized equipment.
  • Assist in training of staff in the roles and responsibilities of an anesthesia technologist.
  • Perform anesthesia equipment set up and troubleshooting, including testing infusion pumps, nerve stimulators, defibrillators, and transport monitors.
Requirements:
  • BLS certification
  • Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech
  • Preferred qualifications: certification by the registry of the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists or other nationally recognized professional certifying body
