Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in the Durham Pediatrics department. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting the healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Taking medical histories and recording vital signs
  • Explaining treatment procedures to patients and preparing them for examinations and procedures
  • Assisting medical and nursing staff during examinations and procedures
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
  • Performing basic laboratory tests in the clinic/office
  • Removing sutures/staples and changing sterile and non-sterile dressings
  • Documenting patient records
Requirements
  • Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA
  • BLS certification
  • High school or GED graduation required
  • Level I: No experience required; Level II: 1 year of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant; Level III: 3 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant
