We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Duke Primary Care. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
  • Assist with routine and special treatments, including administering medications and performing various diagnostic procedures.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a medical assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) strongly preferred.
  • High school or GED graduation required.
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified in a clinical setting, depending on level.
  • Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA required.
  • BLS required.
