Key Responsibilities- Perform routine clinical tasks, including vital sign collection, patient data collection, and specimen collection.
- Assist healthcare providers with treatments, examinations, and procedures.
- Administer medications under the direction of a provider.
- Perform tests, such as EKGs and eye exams, under the direction of a provider.
- Review patient records to determine necessary health screenings.
- Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms.
- Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and referrals.
- Answer clinic phones and assist with in-basket tasks.
- Medical Assistant certification by a recognized organization.
- Basic Life Support Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Prior medical assistant experience preferred.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a team with staff and providers.
