Job Description

We are seeking students to assist with grading and lab support in the Computer Science department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer science concepts and be able to effectively communicate with students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grading: Support assigned faculty members with grading assignments, homework, and exams; handle student documents with confidentiality and discretion; communicate with faculty on grading parameters, requirements, and deadlines; meet faculty timelines for grading work.
  • Lab Assistant: Support students during lab periods; handle student challenges with confidentiality and discretion; communicate with faculty on student support needs, issues needing attention; consistent attendance to provide support to lab students.

Qualifications:

  • Completed course with an A or B grade; sophomore, junior, or senior in good standing; organizational skills; attentive to faculty requirements and requests; attention to detail and accuracy; ethical and trustworthy; ability to take instruction; computer skills; ability to communicate professionally with students and faculty; excellent knowledge of course material.

Estimated Salary: $15.95 per hour based on Portland Metro Minimum Wage.
