Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronic CAD Designer to join our team at Digital Prospectors. As an Electronic CAD Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing moderately complex and detailed layouts of printed wiring boards implementing a wide range of technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist electrical engineers with the design and layout of Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs), implement moderate to highly complex PWB designs, and collaborate with PWB manufacturing engineers to define fabrication criteria.
  • Design Tools and Techniques: Demonstrate proficiency with design tools, interpret and understand design requirements, and implement design techniques such as differential pairs, length matching, impedance control, blind and buried vias, and break out of high-density and fine-pitch components.
  • Documentation and Communication: Provide inputs supporting generation of associated documentation, communicate project status and issues to management, and communicate project status and issues to the project team.
  • Qualifications and Experience: Associate's degree, certificate from a two-year technical school in an applicable discipline, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and skills. 10+ years of experience in the field of PWB design or technical drafting with specific tools knowledge.

  • Tools and Techniques: Demonstrated tools experience with Siemens (Mentor) Xpedition Enterprise VX2.8, AutoCAD 2016, Downstream CAM350, and SolidWorks 2017.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent oral and written communication skills, proven ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, and ability to collect, organize, and capture design details in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
