Georgia-Pacific's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) team is looking for a proactive Category Leader to drive cost optimization across various spend categories. Located at GP Center in Downtown Atlanta, this role provides a hybrid schedule combining remote work and office days. Candidates from the region are encouraged to apply and collaborate for meeting business demands.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Set & communicate category vision and strategy to maximize value
  • Stay informed about supply markets, competitors, and innovations to drive strategy
  • Apply category management processes to all spend categories effectively
  • Identify new TCO opportunities and execute initiatives aligned with cross-functional teams
  • Manage category spend, suppliers, savings, and adherence to strategy
  • Conduct negotiation processes with suppliers
  • Lead supplier management and customer relationship management within the category
  • Drive transformation & change management initiatives for business performance improvement
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing TCO and/or P&L ownership
  • Demonstrated expertise in market processes, competitive analysis, and should-cost/price-setting
  • Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
  • Willingness to travel at least 10-25%
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Advanced Degree or MBA
  • Experience in Chemicals, Finished Goods, Process Equipment, Engineering Services, and MRO
  • Proven ability to analyze procurement data and drive cost-saving initiatives
  • Background in program management and transformational change projects
  • Prior P&L responsibilities
