About the Opportunity

A Senior Architect will bring their industry expertise and help manage our Building Materials Services projects, clients, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Develop and manage Building Materials Services projects to enhance the visibility of SME's Materials experts.
  • Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with good organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Learn about other SME services to assist in promoting and expanding geotechnical and other SME services to new and existing clients.
  • Leadership and Training: Demonstrate strong leadership skills and ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Travel and Safety: Occasional travel may be required to meet client and project needs, with a focus on exemplifying safe work practices and following the company's compliance standards.
Requirements
  • Technical Competence: Has competency using computer operating systems and MS Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and supervisors, conveying technical information clearly.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, manage workloads, maintain accurate and detailed record-keeping skills, documenting field observations, safety concerns, and problem resolutions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Effective interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and team members, fostering positive working relationships, customer-centric approach to provide excellent service to clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Adaptability: Must be able to understand and adapt to change and react productively to frequent interruptions and changing conditions.
  • Construction Competencies: Basic construction competencies including ability to determine location from surface features and landmarks by interpretation from surveys, road maps, aerial photos, topographic maps, and geologic maps; understanding construction stakes set by others, and color markings of utility companies.
  • Problem-Solving: Has a general aptitude for identifying and resolving complex technical problems in the field, utilizing critical thinking and logical reasoning.
  • Ethics and Safety: Demonstrates ethical conduct, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring safety and security in all aspects of work, strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines, fostering a safe working environment for yourself and others.
