Pipework Foreman Job Description

Marous Brothers Construction, a leading construction company in Willoughby, Ohio, is seeking a skilled Pipework Foreman to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely delivery of required materials and effective communication with the surveyor to set up a safe work area.
  • Collaborate with the superintendent and general foreman to develop a plan for site utilities, aligning with earthwork crews and other contractors.
  • Communicate with vendors and subcontractors regarding site utilities, including aggregate suppliers and municipal suppliers.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of plans, specifications, and contractual requirements, as well as the project schedule.
  • Provide regular updates and communicate any issues with the superintendent and project manager.
  • Ensure the safety of all employees and personnel on site by adhering to OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Responsible for all as-builts and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience in heavy civil construction, installing various site utilities, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, waterline, and electric duct banks.
  • Familiarity with materials and installation methods to install per plans and specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret utility plans, specifications, and local codes.
  • Effective communication and computer skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with setting and checking line and grade for utility installation using stakes and cut sheets, pipe laser, GPS rover knowledge, etc.
