Job Summary

This role will focus on supporting and advancing Abbott's interests before Congress, federal agencies, and trade associations.

The ideal candidate will develop strategic plans to influence proposed policies, legislation, and regulations.

This position requires public policy analysis, strategy formulation, and strong communication skills.

Proven experience in influencing policy development and knowledge of healthcare industry trends are essential.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze legislative and regulatory activities to assess their impact on the company.

  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders and policymakers.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in political science, public policy or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Ten years minimum experience in government affairs positions.
  • Proven track record in influencing policy development and understanding of the political process.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and teams.

Work Environment:

  • Standard work shift.
  • Possible domestic travel (10%).

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $162,000 - $324,000 per year, dependent on specific locations.
