Job Title: Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to work in our Labor and Delivery department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and excellent communication skills. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing individualized patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
  • Values team collaboration and is a team player.
