Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Burke, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure safe and effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies and protocols.
- Oversee all department activities pertaining to the preparation and dispensing of pharmaceutical preparations.
- Collaborate with patients, physicians, finance, nursing, and case management to resolve prescription insurance billing problems.
- Maintain accurate patient profiles, allergy lists, and medication reconciliation records.
- Utilize manufacturer hubs to ensure Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy and other dispensing requirements are met.
- One (1) year of experience working in a hospital as an Oncology Pharmacist.
- Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy.
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
