Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Obstetric Emergency Department

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Obstetric Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient experiences.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Obstetric Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and delivery nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to obstetric patients in the emergency department
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify their needs and develop effective care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association
  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 24 months of start date
