POSITION SUMMARY
Fulltime Billing and Customer Support Specialist
This role involves the accurate entry of information to sustain database(s) through specialized software. It is essential to ensure the precision, efficiency, and accessibility of processed data. Responsible for managing all monthly billing processes. Reviews entered material as necessary and produces data reports as required. Delivers exceptional customer service by leveraging comprehensive knowledge of company offerings and programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conducts data entry utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, or database commands and formats materials as necessary.
Establishes data directories/subdirectories for the purpose of file and report generation retrieval. Maintains a physical and/or digital record of entered data.
Identifies discrepancies in received data, seeks clarification, or informs supervisors of issues related to data, and executes data verification processes in line with company protocols.
Collaborates with departmental and other staff on matters impacting data, proposing enhancements or improvements to job processes to uphold standards in data entry, collection, and retrieval.
Handles batching for draft billing for all members with monthly credit card and checking/savings account billing.
Keeps administrative records of all current and outstanding accounts (i.e., account change forms, status reports, etc.).
Assesses the status of overdue membership accounts by documenting available information and determining the appropriate course of action (i.e., deletion and referral for further legal and collection measures).
Contacts all members with past due balances to establish repayment plans.
Communicates relevant information to all managers, staff, and members as necessary.
Addresses escalated member issues forwarded by field operations. Resolves escalated matters using critical thinking skills and authorized levels of discretion.
Develops and maintains a high level of knowledge regarding customer service inquiries, account management, and other internal systems.
Informs supervisors and senior management of any new or unusual developments concerning member-related or system-related issues.
