Position Summary

The Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for evaluating, auditing, and documenting materials, processes, and products to ensure compliance with the company’s stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and validate incoming materials by verifying specifications, performing visual and mechanical inspections, and managing nonconforming items.
  • Evaluate in-process and finished goods to confirm adherence to specifications, conduct necessary testing, and validate any rework completed.
  • Record inspection findings, generate reports, and enter data into the quality management system.
  • Inspect high-reliability components in accordance with industry standards, making acceptance or rejection decisions based on established criteria.
  • Achieve quality objectives by executing related tasks as required.
  • Interpret electronic schematics and customer specifications, recognizing critical characteristics and measurement terminology.

Work Schedule: Standard office hours, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: A technical certificate or equivalent experience is mandatory.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in report writing and effective communication in group settings.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and experience with measurement tools.
  • Knowledge of military and industry standards, basic statistical methods, and measurement terminology.
  • Understanding of measurement accuracy, precision, and traceability principles.
  • Strong mathematical abilities and capability to perform measurement conversions.
