Overview

Prime Healthcare is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional service. As a Microbiologist Specialist I, you will play a critical role in our laboratory team, working closely with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of microbiology tests, including waived, moderate, and highly complex tests, using manual and automated methods.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results, adhering to laboratory quality control policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory professionals to resolve issues and improve test performance.
  • Develop and maintain laboratory policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the training and development of laboratory staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current and valid state Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or limited state Clinical Laboratory Scientist license as a Microbiologist Specialist, if required by the state.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1 year of experience in microbiology, preferably as a CLS/MT generalist or Microbiologist Specialist.
