Quality Inspector

SKF is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in Winsted, CT. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for performing visual inspections on ceramics balls to ensure they meet SKF or customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform white/black light visual inspections on ceramics balls at various magnifications.
- Ensure applicable inspection equipment is in calibration before use.
- Identify and segregate nonconforming product and initiate Discrepancy Reports.
- Comply with stamp control procedures and assure lot and sample traceability.
- Perform any and all tasks assigned by the department Manager.
Requirements:
- Varied postures, including sitting, standing, and leaning.
- Ability to transport product, gauges, racks, and baskets from one area to another.
- Use of Hand Carts - pushing.
- Walking in general.
- Pushing, carrying, or lifting up to max. 50 lbs occasionally.
- Rolling thumb and fingers for ball rotation constantly daily.
- Previous experience in Manufacturing Process.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2nd Shift position (training on 1st shift).
