About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team at Fabricated Metals. As a key member of our Manufacturing organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring our Production team has the necessary materials to meet our production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing raw steel and aluminum for our manufacturing operations
  • Developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives to reduce procurement costs
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address supply chain disruptions
  • Analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems is highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not required
