About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Commodity Manager to join our team at Sierra Space. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category-specific strategies to optimize procurement and capture cost savings.

You will conduct market research to identify new suppliers, analyze market conditions, and assess risks and opportunities within the category. Additionally, you will negotiate supplier agreements to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

As a category subject-matter-expert (SME), you will collaborate with internal stakeholders such as engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams to align category management strategies with overall business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Typically 8 or more years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, cost modeling, and budgeting
  • Comprehensive understanding of category management principles, including market analysis, sourcing, and procurement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supply chain certification(s)
Working Conditions
  • Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
  • Rarely exposed to loud noises

Estimated Starting Salary Range

$120, $165,759.14
