About Magnolia Health Systems: We are a dedicated assisted living organization committed to providing exceptional care to our residents. We are currently seeking compassionate QMA professionals to enhance our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely prepare and administer prescribed oral medications, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Administer oral PRN medications as authorized by a licensed nurse.
- Recognize that injectable medications must be administered exclusively by a licensed nurse.
- Ensure that telephone or verbal orders are never accepted by a QMA.
- Take and record vital signs as required prior to administering specific medications.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Certification as a Qualified Medication Aide in the State of Indiana, including insulin certification.
- Completion of a state-approved training program in medication administration.
- Current health certificate/examination as mandated by state agencies.
- Ability to perform only those duties covered in the approved training program.
