Job Title: Community Health Worker

University of Kentucky is seeking a Community Health Worker to join our team. As a Community Health Worker, you will establish and maintain relationships and partnerships with community organizations to promote health equity.

This role requires a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening and weekend work when required. You will work in the field to conduct outreach and engagement activities that promote cancer prevention and cancer screenings among Black/African Americans and other under served communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships and partnerships with community organizations to promote health equity
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities that promote cancer prevention and cancer screenings among Black/African Americans and other under served communities
  • Work in the field to promote health equity and reduce health disparities

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of cancer prevention and cancer screenings

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

Software Skills:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Work Environment:
