We are seeking a dynamic and committed educator to serve as a Lead Teacher in First Grade at Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School. The successful candidate will teach all general studies content areas, including language arts, math, science, and social studies, along with developmentally appropriate social skills in a first-grade classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement project-based, multi-disciplinary instructional units aligned with common core math, history, and language arts standards, as well as high-quality STEM units aligned to NGSS standards.
  • Collaborate with grade-level colleagues to plan, integrate, and enhance instruction in all curricular areas.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Attend and actively participate in all faculty meetings.
  • Participate in special school events, including Open House, Back to School Night, and special student performances.
Requirements:
  • Four-year degree from a college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, or a related field.
  • A valid teaching credential is preferred, though not required.
  • 3-5 years of previous teaching experience.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: $65,000-$90,000 annually.
