Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Solutions Consultant with a strong background in AV and Video Conferencing technologies to enhance our Collaboration team. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective design, implementation, and installation of AV systems. You will contribute to the Audio-Visual strategy, aiming to elevate the collaborative meeting experience across various business sectors.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee the technical aspects and support for integrated AV projects.
- Conduct onsite installations with team members or third-party support.
- Analyze AV project SOWs (Scope of Work).
- Update design documentation and collaborate with the Solution Architecture team to develop programming and elevation designs as necessary.
- Facilitate the creation of AV installation drawing packages, including elevation diagrams and final as-built wiring diagrams.
- Advise clients on optimal placement for all AV components, utilizing industry-standard calculations and best practices.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in the AV industry.
- Collaborate with the Project Management team to address project implementation challenges.
- Assist in troubleshooting AV systems as needed.
- Identify special project requirements, including lifts, rigging, and specialized mounts.
- Provide engineering and DSP system programming support during AV system installations.
- Travel to various job sites as required.
Travel Requirements:
This position may require national travel up to 50%, with potential for international travel. Proximity to major airports is advantageous.
Position Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of systems integration techniques.
- Basic knowledge of IP networking.
- Proficiency in Visio or CAD applications.
- Experience with Audio DSP configuration and programming, including Shure, Biamp, and QSC.
- Familiarity with the integration and installation of advanced AV systems such as Cisco and Yealink.
- Installation experience with AV equipment, including projectors, displays, video walls, speakers, and cabling.
- Experience with collaboration platforms such as MS Teams, Cisco WebEx, and Zoom.
- Capability to lift 25 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Willingness to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required.
- Ability to lead AV system installations onsite.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, including military experience.
- Certifications from Biamp, QSC, Zoom, Cisco, Yealink, Shure, and Dante levels 1, 2, and 3 are advantageous.
- Strong passion for AV technology and commitment to delivering high-quality installations.
- Proven leadership and guidance skills during onsite installations.
- Excellent project and time management abilities.
- Solid background in AV testing and quality assurance.
- Strong communication skills.
- Vendor certifications are highly regarded.
