Job Title: Systems Support Specialist III

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly skilled Systems Support Specialist III to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to our agency's hardware, software, telephony, and network systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer IT-related calls and emails from agency staff and provide technical support and troubleshooting services.
  • Create and manage trouble tickets in our problem tracking system.
  • Verify and document caller information and collect pertinent details related to the problem or issue.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly duties as assigned, including tasks such as assigning problem tickets and change requests.
  • Monitor call trends to identify and resolve continuing problems or unusual situations.
  • Stay up-to-date on known technical issues related to our agency systems and hardware deployments.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of information systems/technology processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of personal computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Knowledge of current technical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of customer service techniques.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM.
  • Ability to adjust to and maintain a fast-paced workflow.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
