Position Overview

The Graduate Assistant for Men's Volleyball will support the head coach in various aspects of recruiting prospective student-athletes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning and coordinating strength and conditioning programs, monitoring academic progress, engaging with social media, and managing logistics for home and away matches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strength & Conditioning Management
    • Organize, schedule, and oversee all strength and conditioning sessions in collaboration with the head coach and athletic training staff.
  • Recruitment Support
    • Assist the head coach in building a competitive roster of 16-20 varsity players.
    • Utilize various recruiting platforms and attend off-campus tournaments and showcases.
    • Host recruitment events on campus to attract potential student-athletes.
  • Video Analysis
    • Coordinate the recording, exchange, and breakdown of practice and match footage using tools like Hudl and VolleyMetrics.
  • Summer Camp Assistance
    • Support the head coach during summer camps as a supplemental role.
  • Team Logistics
    • Assist with travel arrangements, including vehicle requests, accommodations, and meal preparations.
  • Fundraising and Community Engagement
    • Participate in fundraising initiatives and community service projects.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Foster team faith development and organize bonding activities.
  • Attend mandatory athletic and university-sponsored events.
