Position Overview

The Graduate Assistant for Men's Volleyball will support the head coach in various aspects of recruiting prospective student-athletes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning and coordinating strength and conditioning programs, monitoring academic progress, engaging with social media, and managing logistics for home and away matches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strength & Conditioning Management
    • Organize, schedule, and oversee all strength and conditioning sessions in collaboration with the head coach and athletic training staff.
  • Recruitment Support
    • Assist the head coach in recruiting a competitive roster of 16-20 varsity players.
    • Utilize various recruiting platforms and attend off-campus events such as tournaments and showcases.
    • Coordinate and host recruiting events on campus.
  • Video Analysis
    • Manage video recording, exchange, and breakdown for practice sessions using tools like Hudl and VolleyMetrics.
  • Summer Camp Assistance
    • Support the head coach during summer camps, which may include additional compensation.
  • Team Logistics
    • Assist with travel arrangements for the team, including vehicle requests, accommodations, and meal preparations.
  • Fundraising and Community Engagement
    • Participate in fundraising initiatives and community service projects.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Foster team faith development and bonding activities.
  • Attend mandatory athletic and university-sponsored events.
