Position Overview

In this role, you will respond to urgent crisis calls, evaluate the circumstances, and provide suitable interventions to help stabilize the individual in distress.

This position demands outstanding communication abilities, a deep sense of empathy, and the capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in crisis management, counseling, or social services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond swiftly to crisis calls and assess the requirements of individuals in distress.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and emotional support to clients undergoing acute psychological challenges.
  • Conduct risk evaluations to ascertain the necessary level of intervention.
  • Collaborate with emergency responders, mental health professionals, and other community resources as required.
  • Document all interactions and interventions in compliance with organizational protocols.
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all client interactions.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance crisis intervention skills.
Qualifications:
  • CPI certification is preferred (training available).
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention, ideally within a healthcare or social services environment.
  • Strong comprehension of mental health disorders, trauma-informed care, and crisis management strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and make swift, informed decisions.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to assisting individuals in distress.
  • Capacity to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Certification in crisis intervention or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
Schedule and Compensation:

This is a part-time position with weekend shifts and flexible hours. Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
