Job Overview

Position Summary: The Brake Press Operator is accountable for the programming, setup, and operation of a brake press to manufacture high-quality components and finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and program the brake press effectively.
  • Accurately bend materials to specified angles.

  • Convert fractional measurements to decimal for machine programming.
  • Set up machinery by adjusting fixtures using hand tools.

  • Troubleshoot issues by referencing blueprints when necessary.

Essential Tools and Equipment:

  • Forklift operation.
  • Hoist operation with magnets, clamps, and cranes.
  • Utilization of tape measures and basic hand tools.
  • Inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, squares, and protractors.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in basic computer skills and mathematics.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Capable of bending, twisting, and squatting throughout the workday.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Visual and auditory capabilities within acceptable limits.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • Willingness to perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Participation in all required meetings.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
