Role and Responsibilities

Hendler Family Brewing Company is seeking a dedicated sales representative to enhance our presence in the Massachusetts market. This role is pivotal in fostering new business opportunities, maintaining existing relationships, and promoting our brand in expanding markets. We are in search of a passionate craft beer enthusiast who possesses both ambition and adaptability.

The position involves:

  • Engaging with retail account managers, buyers, and consumers to educate them about our products.
  • Securing commitments from buyers and effectively communicating orders to the respective distributor representatives.
  • Representing our brewery at tastings and promotional events.
  • Arranging product displays on shelves and in coolers.
  • Monitoring product freshness in the market.
  • Striving for enhanced visibility of our products through competitive shelf space and tap handle placements.
  • Maintaining constant communication with distributor representatives and team leaders regarding market activities.
  • Identifying and reporting market opportunities.
  • Managing sales efforts, prospecting new clients, and building enduring relationships with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborating with management and distribution partners to achieve sales objectives.
  • Contributing to the overall sales strategy and planning for the designated region.
  • Documenting all sales activities meticulously.
  • Coordinating and participating in events such as tap takeovers and beer festivals.
  • Overseeing a small team of Brand Ambassadors.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload independently.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Experience with CRM tools is advantageous.
  • Background in the Craft Beer industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Sales or customer service experience is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite or similar software.
  • An understanding of craft beer and the relevant markets.
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish or Portuguese are a plus.
  • A clean driving record and the capability to drive extensively.
Work Environment

This is a fully remote position requiring in-person visits to accounts across a broad territory. Candidates must be comfortable navigating the territory with samples and supplies. Occasional travel to the brewery is required.
