Job Summary

This position is for a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care at Yale New Haven Health. The successful candidate will be a licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut with experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
  • The RN practices professional nursing as a registered nurse within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model.
  • The RN provides care that includes establishing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family, encompasses an understanding and integration of cultural and diversity into practice, includes communicating and working collaboratively with the patient, family and health care team members, and includes respecting the patient's values, preferences, expressed needs and knowledge of the healthcare situation in holistic data collection, in formulating health care outcomes and in the evaluation process.
  • The RN employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • The RN evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.
  • Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
Estimated Salary

$83,500 - $113,400 per year based on experience.
