Job Description

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) upholds the YNHHS mission, vision, values and strategic initiatives to provide the highest level of patient-centered care. The RN practices professional nursing as a registered nurse within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family.
  • Communicates and works collaboratively with the patient, family, and healthcare team members.
  • Respects the patient's values, preferences, expressed needs, and knowledge of the healthcare situation in holistic data collection, formulating health care outcomes, and evaluation processes.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
  • Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
  • Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
