Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to take on the role of Direct Support Professional for children. Ideal candidates will have a background in providing care and support to individuals with disabilities or children, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide for the physical and emotional needs of children in care, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Accompany children during outings and appointments, offering guidance and support.
- Assist children during mealtimes, ensuring they receive proper nutrition.
- Supervise and assist with personal hygiene routines, including bathing and dressing.
- Engage children in recreational activities, promoting social skills and personal development.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children, including light housekeeping duties.
- Encourage children to participate in educational and skill-building activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation and play.
Requirements:
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to their welfare.
- Up-to-date resume demonstrating relevant experience.
- CPR certification (can be obtained if not currently held).
- Proof of vaccination status.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Compensation:
Starting pay is $16.00 per hour for the initial 90 days, with opportunities for increased pay based on performance and tenure.
Shift Information:
Various shifts available, including day, evening, and night shifts. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
