Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapist will play a vital role in the planning and administration of radiation therapy to patients at University Hospital, Newark NJ. This individual will ensure that patients receive meticulous and professional care, interacting with attending physicians, physicists, and other hospital personnel to assure quality patient management.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in patient care and non-patient care duties involved in radiation therapy planning and administration.

• Ensure patients are treated with accuracy, promptness, and professionalism.

• Interact with attending physicians, physicists, and other hospital personnel to assure quality patient management.

Qualifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).

• Graduate of an approved AMA program.

• Current New Jersey Radiation Therapy License or temporary license until the ARRT exam is successfully completed within three months of hire is required.

• Experience in state-of-the-art radiation therapy modalities is required.

• BLS is required.
