Job Summary

The City of Pleasanton, CA is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Police Department as a Police Officer. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and protecting the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to maintain law and order and prevent crime
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence
  • Make arrests and issue citations as necessary
  • Participate in community policing initiatives to build relationships with the public
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 21 years old at the time of appointment
  • Valid California Class C driver's license required
  • Must pass a thorough background investigation and polygraph examination
  • Must possess a Basic Certificate from P.O.S.T. at the time of appointment
