Customer Relations Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Relations Specialist to join our team at Compass Health Network. As a key member of our integrated care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and Engage Patients: Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients as they arrive, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Appointment Management: Confirm appointments, alert patients of any necessary information, and manage consumer appointments with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Data Entry and Financial Management: Accurately enter patient data into our electronic health record (EHR) system and manage financial paperwork, ensuring all required forms are completed in full.
  • Insurance and Demographic Verification: Verify insurance and demographic information at each visit and update as necessary to ensure accurate billing and patient records.
  • Co-pay Collection and Cash Handling: Collect co-pays when applicable and balance daily cash batches, turning in money collected to the Office Supervisor or Regional Office Manager.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Answer phone calls in a polite and courteous manner, direct phone calls and messages to the appropriate office staff, and maintain a clean and organized waiting area.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
  • Customer Service Experience: At least one year of experience in customer service is required.
  • Compassion and Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
